Do you have a question about the Crypto Colorline 18 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Colorline 18 is a portable MP4 player designed for multimedia playback and recording. It features a compact design and a range of functions for music, video, photo viewing, voice recording, FM radio, e-book reading, and even a simple game.

Function Description:

The core functionality of the Colorline 18 revolves around its multimedia playback capabilities. Users can enjoy music, watch videos, and view photos. The device supports various audio file types, allowing for a diverse music library. Video playback is specifically designed for AMV files, requiring conversion of other video formats. Photo viewing offers both manual and automatic play options.

Beyond entertainment, the Colorline 18 includes a voice recording feature, offering different recording qualities and modes such as Fine REC (high quality WAV), Long REC (long-time ACT), Fine VOR, and Long VOR (voice-activated recording). The device also integrates an FM radio, allowing users to listen to their favorite stations, save them, and even record broadcasts.

For reading enthusiasts, an e-book function is available, supporting text files. A simple number-only game is also included for casual entertainment.

Usage Features:

The Colorline 18 is operated primarily through a set of function keys. The "Play" button serves multiple purposes: powering the device on/off, initiating playback, pausing, and stopping. It is recommended to use this button for power control rather than the side ON/OFF switch, which acts more like a reset button and may lead to loss of settings.

Navigation through the main menu and submenus is achieved using the "◄◄" (Previous) and "►►" (Next) buttons. These buttons also control fast reverse and fast forward during playback. The "M" (Mode) key is crucial for confirming selections, moving to submenus, and returning to the main menu with continuous pressing. Volume adjustment is handled by the "VOL" button in conjunction with the "◄◄" and "►►" keys. The speaker can be activated and deactivated through a combination of "VOL" and "►►" presses.

Music playback offers various repeat modes (Repeat One, Folder, Repeat All, Random, Intro) and an equalizer with preset modes (Natural, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, Bass, DBB). A unique "SRS WOW" feature allows for sound enhancement with user-configurable 3D, TruBass, and Focus settings. The "Tempo Rate" function enables users to adjust the playback speed of songs. The "Replay" feature is particularly useful for language learning or musical practice, allowing users to loop a specific segment of a song, define start and end points, and even set the number of repetitions and the gap between them.

For voice recording, users can select different recording types and qualities. The device automatically saves recordings and will stop recording if the battery is low or memory is full. Recordings can be paused and resumed.

The FM radio allows for automatic station search and micro-adjustment of frequencies. Users can save their favorite stations and record broadcasts.

Connecting the device to a PC is straightforward using the supplied USB cable. The Colorline 18 functions as a U-disk, allowing for easy file transfer. It is compatible with various Windows operating systems, as well as Linux and Mac OS.

Maintenance Features:

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of the Colorline 18, several maintenance guidelines are provided. Users are advised to avoid extreme temperatures (hot or cold), dusty, or watery environments. To prevent physical damage, the device should not be collided with hard objects. Static electricity can cause system errors, so using the device in extremely dry conditions should be avoided.

Crucially, users should not disconnect the device abruptly during formatting or data transfer (uploading/downloading music) to prevent system errors or data loss. Similarly, it's important to properly shut down the device using the PLAY button before switching it off to avoid data loss.

Charging the device requires the ON-OFF switch to be in the ON position. If the battery is low during recording, the player will automatically stop and save the current record file, prompting the user to charge the battery. If the device's memory becomes full, a "No space" message will be displayed.

The manual also includes important information regarding the disposal of old electrical and electronic equipment, emphasizing the importance of recycling and not discarding the device with household waste to protect the environment and human health. Users are encouraged to contact their local city office or waste disposal service for proper recycling procedures.
