  If your CSZ Control Systems EZT is not responding to commands from your PC, ensure the slave address and parity settings in the EZT match those being used. Verify that you are using the correct protocol (Modbus RTU) and proper serial port settings on your PC. Check all cables and wiring for loose or damaged connections, and confirm the correct connection polarity, using a null-modem cable for RS232 if necessary.

  If you're getting an EZ-View communication error with the message “Control Address #, Device did not respond in 1 sec” on your CSZ Control Systems, try the following: Ensure the EZT address matches the controller number in EZ-View and that the EZT parity is set to “Even”. Verify the serial port number and ensure it's assigned to EZ-View in the configurator. Check the cables and wiring for any loose or damaged connections, and confirm proper connection polarity, especially if using a null-modem cable for RS232. Reducing the length of communication wires or the number of devices may also help. As well as increasing the polling interval of EZ-View may resolve the issue.

  If you are unable to read data from the EZT on your CSZ Control Systems, try slowing down the communication rate between write and read commands. You can also set the 4899 serial timeout to a higher value. Check the cables and wiring for any loose connections and verify the correct polarity. Ensure that you use the “C #” command to set the 4899 serial address to match the EZT Modbus address.
