Position the Z-series on a level surface, engage brake, and place blocks behind wheels.
Measure gap, rotate brake rods clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease force.
Remove boot covers and control tower cover to access and adjust linkage.
Check oil level of hydraulic units when engine is off (not running).
Flip seat up, clean fill plug area, remove plug, read level.
Check rear tires, position Z-series on level surface, raise lift handle, check blade position.
Remove belt cover, release tension spring, remove fasteners, adjust link length, reconnect.
Raise mower to highest position, ensure level surface, check blade to front/rear edge distance.
Use quality detergent oil of API Service Class SF, SG, or SH. Select viscosity based on temperature.
Use only clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a pump sticker octane rating of 87 or higher.
Important to maintain proper oil level. Check oil before each use. Do not overfill.
