Why won't my Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine start?
- UugomezAug 13, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine fails to start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the PTO/Blade Engage knob is disengaged (OFF) and the parking brake is engaged. Check that the spark plug wires are securely connected. Make sure the throttle/choke control lever is in the FAST position and the choke is activated. The fuel tank should be filled with clean, fresh gasoline (less than 30 days old), and the fuel line should be clear with a replaced fuel filter. Inspect the spark plug(s) for faults, cleaning, adjusting the gap, or replacing them as needed. If the engine is flooded, crank it with the throttle in the FAST position. Finally, check for and replace any blown fuses.
