Why is my Cub Cadet LTX1050VT Lawn Mower engine running erratic?
    • J
      Jennifer MartinezAug 17, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower engine is running erratically, it might be due to the choke being activated while running, loose spark plug wires, a blocked fuel line or stale fuel, a plugged vent in the gas cap, water or dirt in the fuel system, or a dirty air cleaner. To fix this, move the Throttle/Choke control out of the CHOKE position, connect the spark plug wires, clean the fuel line, fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline and replace the fuel filter, clear the vent or replace the cap if damaged, drain the fuel tank and refill with clean, fresh gasoline, and replace the air cleaner paper element or clean the foam precleaner.

What to do if my Cub Cadet LTX1050VT will not mulch grass?
    • S
      Sean DicksonAug 25, 2025
If your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower isn't mulching grass effectively, the engine speed might be too low, the grass might be wet, the grass might be excessively high, or the blade might be dull. To address this: Place the throttle in the FAST (rabbit) position, avoid mulching when the grass is wet, mow once at a high cutting height then again at the desired height or make a narrower cutting swath, and sharpen or replace the blade.
