This heater must be installed in accordance with local codes or in the absence to local codes, in
accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-1993.
NOTE: The gas supply piping must be properly sized for rated capacities. Refer to Pages 49-50 for
instructions and examples of pipe sizing.
NOTE: The gas piping must not be used to support the heater. If the installation subjects the heater to
movement or vibration, a flexible gas connector may be required. When copper tubing is used
for conveying natural gas, the tubing must be internally tinned or equivalently treated to resist
sulfur corrosion.
