Sometimes however you may need the flexibility to choose when
to ‘LOG’ the thickness measurement, so the Auto-Log function is
not required.
You can turn the Auto-Log function on or off as required from the
Data Logging Menu when data logging.
Using the Auto Log Feature
The Auto Log feature requires the user to position, hold and move
the probe in a certain time for it to automatically log the thickness
values, follow this pattern to auto log the thickness points;
1. Place the probe on the surface to be measured until you get a
thickness reading that is stable.
2. Hold the probe, and the thickness measurement until you get
a beep and the screen signals the measurement has been
logged – look for the green LED to light.
3. Release the probe and don’t attempt another measurement
for 1 second minimum.
4. Repeat from step 1 again.
