  If you notice excessive smoke, several factors could be at play. First, the temperature may be too high for the fabric, so try lowering the SV (set value). Also, the ink quantity on the media may be too high; in this case, lower the ink limit. Ensure the fume buster is turned on, suctioning properly, and its duct is well connected. Check that the air valve is wide open and the inside of the unit is clean and free of fabric fibers and dust.

  If HEATER 1 is on with the green LED illuminated but not generating heat, one of the multiple bimetals may be opening the circuit for safety. In this case, it needs to be replaced.

  To improve color curing, ensure the up/down roller is in the high position. Verify the PV (process value) is correct for both the type of media and ink you are using. Also, check the fixation speed in the oven is correct for the type of media and inks you are printing with. If the fume buster is too strong, try to lower the stream of exhausted air.

  If HEATER 1 is on but taking a long time to reach the SV (set value), check the power source is supplying a stable three-phase + neutral 380 V. Consider when the fixation unit was last cleaned inside. Also, check the fume buster is not lowering the temperature and the room temperature may be too low.

  If HEATER 1 is off, but heat is still being generated, the Solid State Relay (SSR) is likely faulty, since it is still allowing current flow when it shouldn’t be. The SSR must be replaced immediately.
