Deploying: WAN using Dynamic IP Addressing

If your ISP Modem/Gateway automatically assigns IP addresses (DHCP service), connect the
Fuzion™ Router directly to the Modem/Gateway.
Step A: Insert one end of an Ethernet cable into the WAN port on DIR-605 rear
panel.
Step B: Insert the cable’s other end into the LAN Port of your existing Modem/
Gateway with Internet connectivity.
Step C: Connect the power supply to the DIR-605. Once powered, the green Power
LED will turn ON. Do not block the vents on the router to prevent overheating.
No additional conguration is required. Within a few minutes the Fuzion™ router will
Auto-Provision and become ready to use.
Step D: Repeat Steps A to C to connect additional Fuzion™ routers. Two to four
routers are supported. One Fuzion™ router is required for each line.
Step E: Skip to Step 5 - Conrming Successful Provisioning to continue.
Step 4: Congure/provision your routers with one of the following two options: Dynamic
or Static/PPPoE. For Dynamic IP Addressing, refer to Option 1 and for Static or PPPoE IP
Addressing, refer to Option 2.
