4. DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
4.1 DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY, UNIVERSAL JOINT
Disassembly, universal joint
1. Remove the entire prop shaft and/or
intermediate shaft.
2. If fitted, remove the lubricating nipple and all
Seeger rings from the spider to be replaced.
3. Place the shaft on a bush underneath a
press, as shown, and press the entire
spider including bearings and drive flange
down until the spider touches the fork of the
shaft.
