Assembling the accumulator
1. Install the central scraper rings on the
piston.
Note:
There are two different types of sleeve: one
with and one without a steel inner spring.
2. Install the sleeve with the steel inner spring
at the oil side of the piston.
3. Install the sleeve without the steel inner
spring at the air side of the piston.
4. Thoroughly cover the piston and cylinder
with grease and install the piston in the
cylinder.
5. Fit the two O-rings at both sides of the
cylinder.
Apply grease to the O-rings to make sure
they remain in position.
6. Install the cylinder on the accumulator
bracket.
7. Install new O-rings at the bottom of the
accumulator/heat exchanger and install the
accumulator.
