Function Description:
These instruments are capable of heating samples to high temperatures while simultaneously providing strong magnetic stirring. The MSH-20D/30D models combine both heating and stirring functionalities, the HP-20D/30D models offer heating only (Hotplate), and the MS-20D model provides stirring only (Magnetic Stirrer). The devices feature a white ceramic top plate, which offers excellent chemical resistance and high thermal conductivity, making it easy to observe the color of reactants during experiments.
A key feature is the precise control over both temperature and stirring speed. The stirring function allows for consistent agitation across its entire speed range, thanks to a powerful motor with excellent control properties and durability, ensuring low noise and a long operational life. The integrated digital LCD screen with a back-light function displays the current status and operational information, enhancing user convenience. Usage Features:
The devices offer intuitive operation through a Jog Dial Knob and Push Button.
- Stirring Mode (MSH/MS Models): Upon power-on, the initial screen displays the stirring speed setting. The speed can be adjusted from 80 to 1,500 RPM by turning the Jog Dial Knob. Pressing and holding the PUSH button for 2-3 seconds saves the set value. The STIRRING LED flashes in Main mode and remains lit during stirring operation.
- Heating Mode (MSH/HP Models): Accessed by pressing the MODE button from stirring mode. Temperature can be set up to 380°C using the Jog Dial Knob. The HEATING LED blinks while heating and turns off when the set temperature is reached. Saved temperature settings are maintained even after power cycling.
- Temperature Compensation (Offset Value): This function allows users to adjust the displayed temperature to match an external thermometer, with a range of -20.0℃ to +20.0℃ in 0.1°C increments. This mode is entered by simultaneously pressing the MODE button and the Jog Dial Knob's PUSH button in Set Heating Mode.
- Timer Mode: Available by pressing the MODE button from heating mode. The timer can be set from 00:00 to 99:59 (hours:minutes). Setting to "00:00" allows continuous operation. The TIMER LED blinks during operation and triggers a beep when completed, stopping heating and stirring.
- Locking Mode: Entered by pressing the MODE button from timer mode. In this mode, the Jog Dial Knob and Push Button are disabled, and the LCD and LED lamps display the current operating status, preventing accidental changes.
- Error Messages: The device displays error warnings on the idle screen for issues like abnormal temperature sensor values (Error 1) or stirring operation abnormalities (Error 2), guiding users to check the heated top plate temperature or the appropriate stirring range.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: The product should be cleaned with a soft towel and neutral detergent after disconnecting the power plug. Avoid direct spraying with water or using flammable solvents.
- Storage: If not in use for extended periods, disconnect the power cord.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a basic troubleshooting guide for common issues such as agitation failure (check RPM setting, power switch) or temperature not rising (check set temperature, power switch ON position).
