Overview

The DAIICHI BLIVA 360 i-Size is a 360-degree rotating child restraint system designed for children from birth up to 7 years old, covering weight ranges from 0-25 kg. It is approved according to UN Regulation No. 129/03 (for children 40-105 cm, ≤18 kg) and ECE R44/04 (for Groups GI, GII 9-25 kg). This i-Size enhanced child restraint system is suitable for vehicles equipped with ECE R14 requirements and can only be used with ISOFIX installation.

Important Safety Information:

  • Do not install the car seat in seats with airbags, as airbag operation can cause severe injury or death.
  • If installing in a rear-facing position on the front seat, ensure it does not interfere with driving; it is recommended for rear seats.
  • Do not use forward-facing for children under 15 months of age.
  • For low birth weight or premature infants, consult a professional doctor or hospital staff before use.
  • Ensure all straps holding the restraint to the vehicle are tight, and the support leg is in full contact with the vehicle floor.
  • Adjust the child's harness to fit snugly, ensuring straps are not twisted.
  • The lap strap should be worn low down, engaging the pelvis firmly to prevent the child from falling out in an accident.
  • Replace the car seat after it has been subjected to violent stresses in an accident.
  • Ensure rigid and plastic parts of the car seat are located and installed so they are not trapped by movable seats or doors.
  • Do not make any alterations or additions to the car seat without approval from the Type Approval Authority.
  • Do not expose the car seat to direct sunlight without a textile cover, as it can become too hot for the child's skin.
  • Never leave your child unattended in the car seat, even for a short time.
  • Secure any luggage or objects in the vehicle that could cause injuries in a collision.
  • Always use the car seat with its cover attached. Do not replace the seat cover with any other than the one recommended by the manufacturer, as it is an integral part of the restraint's performance.
  • If the position of the adult safety-belt buckle relative to the main load-bearing contact points on the restraint is unsatisfactory, contact the manufacturer.
  • Do not use any load-bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and marked on the car seat.
  • Read the car manufacturer's handbook before installing this i-Size ECRS.

Usage Features:

  • Harness Buckle: Hold the two buckle tongues together, ensuring the right side is up, and insert them into the harness buckle until an audible CLICK is heard. Pull shoulder straps to remove slack and ensure the harness is flat and locked. To open, press the red button.
  • Headrest Adjustment: Loosen shoulder straps as much as possible. Pull the headrest height adjuster and select the correct height so shoulder straps are at the same level as the child's shoulders. Release the adjuster and pull the headrest to ensure it's locked. The ideal position is when the distance between the child's shoulder and the bottom of the headrest is about one finger's thickness.
  • Safety Belt Length Adjustment: Pull up the shoulder belt and then the crotch belt to tighten the safety belt as much as possible without causing discomfort. The lap belt should be positioned low on the child's crotch, not abdomen. To loosen, press the safety belt adjuster button and pull the shoulder belts forward.
  • Seat Rotation (360 degrees): Pull the rotation adjuster with your thumb to rotate the seat 360 degrees. After adjusting, release the lever and ensure the seat is fixed.
    • Rearward-facing (Group 0+): For children under 13kg.
    • Forward-facing (Group 1, 2): For children over 9kg.
    • 90-degree rotation: The seat can be rotated 90 degrees to facilitate placing the child, but this angle cannot be used during driving.
  • Recline Angle Adjustment: Push the recline handle up and pull the seat outward to adjust the angle.
    • Forward-facing: 4 recline positions (Levels 1-4).
    • Rearward-facing: If the seat is in the fourth recline level, rotating it to the rear-facing direction allows for a fifth recline level.
  • Removing 5-Point Harness and Storing Accessories:
    1. Loosen the 5-point harness, remove the belt from the metal link, and detach shoulder pads. Store shoulder pads in a safe place.
    2. Store the metal link in the designated area on the back of the backrest.
    3. Remove the gears fixed axle from the plastic stator and store it in the designated area.
    4. Tuck any redundant belt into the cloth cover.
  • Inner Seat Removal: Remove the inner seat when the child's weight exceeds 10-15kg, or when it becomes uncomfortable.
  • Fabric Cover Removal and Reattachment:
    1. Remove the 5-point harness.
    2. Take off the cover from the backrest and base.
    3. Move the headrest to the highest position.
    4. Remove the headrest cover, starting from the bottom.
    5. To reattach, first put on the headrest's cover, then the plastic shell's cover in the order of 1, 2, 3.
  • Support Leg Adjustment: Pull out the support leg to its maximum angle. Press the adjust button and hold the support leg to adjust its length until it is in full contact with the vehicle floor. Release the button and ensure it's locked. The display window will turn green when fully secured.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the car seat for worn or damaged parts. Replace the car seat if damaged.
  • Cleaning: Keep the car seat clean. Do not lubricate any parts.
