Why am I feeling too cold in my living room with my Daikin Heat Pump?
    • D
      Derrick BoydAug 17, 2025
If you feel too cold, it might be because the desired room temperature is set too low. Try increasing the desired room temperature. Alternatively, increase the room temperature preset value or adjust the room temperature schedule. If the desired room temperature cannot be reached, increase the desired leaving water temperature in accordance with the heat emitter type.

Why is my Daikin Air Conditioner space not sufficiently heated at low outdoor temperatures?
    • F
      Frank HillAug 20, 2025
If the space is not sufficiently heated at low outdoor temperatures, it may be because too much heat pump capacity is used for heating domestic hot water. Check that the “space heating priority status” has been enabled and increase the “space heating priority temperature” to activate backup heater operation at a higher outdoor temperature.

How to activate the backup heater operation in Daikin Air Conditioner?
    • J
      Joseph Fields MDAug 23, 2025
To activate the backup heater operation: * Ensure the backup heater operation mode is enabled. * Check that the thermal protector of the backup heater has not been activated. If it has, check the water pressure, whether there is air in the system and perform air purge operation. Then, press the reset button in the switch box. * Increase the “equilibrium temperature” to activate the backup heater operation at a higher outdoor temperature.

What to do if water is coming out of the Daikin Air Conditioner relief valve with dirt?
    • D
      Dawn MartinezAug 26, 2025
If water coming out from the relief valve contains debris or dirt, open the valve until the discharged water does not contain dirt anymore. It is also recommended to flush the system and install an additional water filter, preferably a magnetic cyclone filter.

Why is my Daikin Air Conditioner compressor not starting?
    • W
      Wesley HernandezAug 28, 2025
The compressor might not start due to several reasons: * The unit may be starting outside of its operation range if the water temperature is too low. In this case, the unit uses the backup heater to reach the minimum water temperature (15°C). Ensure the power supply to the backup heater is correctly wired, the backup heater thermal protector is not activated, and the backup heater contactors are not broken. If the problem persists, contact your dealer. * The preferential kWh rate power supply settings and electrical connections may not match. Ensure they match the connections as explained in the manual. * The preferential kWh rate signal may have been sent by the electricity company. Wait for the power to return (2 hours max.).

What to do if the Daikin Air Conditioner pump is making noise?
    • S
      Stacy ObrienAug 31, 2025
If the pump is making noise, it could be due to: * Air in the system: Purge air manually or use the automatic air purge function. * Low water pressure at the pump inlet: Check that the water pressure is above 1 bar, the manometer is not broken, the expansion vessel is not broken, and the pre-pressure setting of the expansion vessel is correct.

Why does the Daikin Air Conditioner pressure relief valve open?
    • A
      Andrea HowellSep 2, 2025
The pressure relief valve may open because: * The expansion vessel is broken: Replace the expansion vessel. * The water volume in the installation is too high: Ensure that the water volume in the installation is below the maximum allowed value.

What to do if the Daikin Air Conditioner water pressure relief valve leaks?
    • K
      Kelly MullenSep 5, 2025
If the water pressure relief valve leaks, it might be because dirt is blocking the outlet. Check the valve by turning the red knob counterclockwise. If you do not hear a clacking sound or if water continues to run out of the unit, close both the water inlet and outlet shut-off valves and then contact your dealer.

What causes unusual high pressure at the tapping point in my Daikin Air Conditioner?
    • M
      Meredith RobinsonSep 8, 2025
Unusually high pressure at the tapping point can be caused by a failing or blocked pressure relief valve. Flush and clean the complete tank, including the piping between the pressure relief valve and the cold water inlet, or replace the pressure relief valve.
