93 Test Operation and Field Settings
1.4 RA Indoor Unit: CTXS, FTXS, CDXS, FDXS Series
Outline 1. Measure the power supply voltage and make sure that it falls within the specified range.
2. Test operation should be carried out in either cooling or heating operation.
In cooling operation, select the lowest programmable temperature (18°C (64°F)); in heating
operation, select the highest programmable temperature (30°C (86°F)).
Test operation may be disabled in either operation mode depending on the room
temperature.
After test operation is complete, set the temperature to a normal level.
(26 ~ 28°C (78 ~ 82°F) in cooling, 20 ~ 24°C (68 ~ 75°F) in heating)
For protection, the system does not start for 3 minutes after it is turned off.
3. Carry out the test operation in accordance with the operation manual to ensure that all functions
and parts, such as louver movement, are working properly.
Note: The air conditioner requires a small amount of power in standby mode. If the system is not to be
used for some time after installation, shut off the circuit breaker to eliminate unnecessary power
consumption.
If the circuit breaker trips to shut off the power to the air conditioner, the system backs up the
operation mode. The system then restarts operation with the previous operation mode when the
circuit breaker is restored.
Detail ARC452 Series
(1) Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the system.
(2) Press the both of TEMP buttons and the MODE button at the same time.
(3) Press the MODE button twice.
(T is displayed on the screen to indicate that test operation is selected.)
(4) Press the MODE button and select the operation mode.
(5) Test operation terminates in approx. 30 minutes and switches into normal mode. To quit a test
operation, press the ON/OFF button.
