Function Description:
The Z5007 1220/1222 Frame facilitates the precise positioning of a single 1220/1222 loudspeaker. It consists of an inner frame and an outer frame. The inner frame bolts directly to the two M10 threaded inserts located on the bottom of the 1220/1222 cabinet. The outer frame, when fitted with an 1220/1222 Stand adapter (Z5008), allows the entire assembly to be placed on a loudspeaker stand with a 35 mm diameter column. Alternatively, for flying applications, a Z5010 TV spigot with a fixing plate can be bolted to the frame in place of the Stand adapter. The design ensures that the loudspeaker's center of gravity aligns with the frame's axis of rotation, preventing twisting forces on the mounting support and ensuring stable flying. The frame is secured in place using two handbolts. The middle section of the outer frame features two holes for M10 bolts, compatible with the mounting hole patterns of the 1220/1222 Stand adapter (Z5008) and TV spigot fixing plates. Eyebolts can also be fitted for flying.

- Plastic load bearing components are not permitted.
- Plastic laminated or coated steel wire ropes are not permitted.
- Load connector parts must have a load safety factor 10X greater than their stated SWL.
- Load bearing chains must have a load safety factor 0.5X greater than the dynamic value specified by the manufacturer (equivalent to a 12X SWL safety factor).
Usage Features:

- Secondary Safeties: Always required and must be used when flying loudspeaker loads. These must be independent, properly rated, and securely attached, preventing a drop of more than 20 cm if the primary suspension fails. Only steel wire ropes or chains of approved construction and load rating are permitted for secondary safeties; plastic-covered steel wire ropes are not.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Inspections: All rigging components and assemblies must be carefully inspected prior to each use or installation for signs of wear and tear, aging, corrosion, dents, cuts, tears, splits, or any other defects. Damaged items must not be deployed.
- Qualified Personnel: Installation and inspection should only be carried out by properly qualified personnel in full compliance with all required safety codes and standards.
- Annual Independent Test: Regular, more rigorous testing and inspection by a suitably approved and qualified inspector is required, with compliance to all applicable safety requirements.
- Logbook Recommendation: d&b recommends maintaining a logbook to detail the test and inspection history of each rigging accessory.
- No Modifications: Rigging accessories must not be modified in any way or assembled in ways other than those specified in the manual. Components are non-interchangeable between different assemblies.
- Proper Fasteners: Only d&b-specified fasteners and assembly methods should be used. Welding or any other permanent fixing methods are not allowed.
- Load Ratings: Adhere strictly to the specified Safe Working Load (SWL) for each rigging accessory, as detailed in its data sheet and the rigging accessories manual. Overloading can compromise safety.
