1.6 GUIDANCE NOTES ON SAFETY – TERRIER RIGS
This manual contains information necessary for working the machine.
.
You are advised to contact the construction company for any necessary
spare parts or accessories, or for any other information.
When the machine is in use, do not make any abrupt movements, and
ensure that there are no unauthorised people in the area of the machine. All
movements and manoeuvres must be carried out slowly and with, the utmost
care and attention.
If any of the movable parts appear to be working abnormally, switch off the
engine immediately.
Do not carry out any inspections, checks, or maintenance while the engine is
running.
It is strictly forbidden to transport or lift people or objects.
When the machine is lifted or transported, follow the instructions in the
appropriate chapter.
During movement on slopes, whether going forwards or reversing, always
make sure that the weight is balanced.
When the machine is stationary and fully loaded on slopes with an incline of
more than 20%, insert a safety wedge underneath the tracks. WARNING!
The fully loaded machine tends to descend by itself.
Do not use the machine at the maximum speed limit for an excessively long
time, but space it out with pauses at lower speeds.
In particular, do not carry out very long transfers to avoid overheating and
damaging the hydraulic components.
Make sure that strange objects (pebbles, stones, rubble, etc.) do not get
wedged in the track tyres, thus interfering with the various parts and risking
damage or breakage of the components.
