3.5 MOVEMENT CONTROLS
How to work the various controls is explained in the following instructions:
GEARS:
The machine's gears are controlled by levers "1" and "2".
We will now look in detail at how to steer the machine forwards and backwards.
FORWARD Move both levers
forwards at the same time Equally
REVERSE Move both levers
backwards at the same time Equally
TURNING LEFT IN FORWARD
ROTATION
Move lever "1" Only gently forwards
TURNING RIGHT IN FORWARD
ROTATION
Move lever "2" Only gently forwards
REVERSING TO THE LEFT Pull lever
"1" slowly backwards.
REVERSING TO THE RIGHT Pull
lever "2" slowly backwards.
ALL OF THE STEERING MOVEMENTS AND CORRECTING THE
DIRECTION OF THE
GEARS MUST BE CARRIED OUT SLOWLY AND WITH CAUTION.
FUNCTIONS
COUNTERSTEERING TO THE LEFT
AND RIGHT
Move levers 1 and 2 into
symmetrically opposite positions.
The greater the angulation of the
lever, the faster the countersteering.
The manoeuvre must be carried out
with the utmost attention and
caution, and possibly with the
machine moving slowly.
LEVER “4”:
Body Raising / Lowering.
To raise, move lever forwards.
To lower, move the lever backwards.
LEVER “5”: ENSURE THE
MAST LOCKING\TRANSIT
PIN IS REMOVED BEFORE
OPERATION
This operates the mast.
To raise, move the lever forwards.
To lower, move the lever backwards.
TABLE 3.1 GEAR BOX CONTROLS
WARNING: The movement levers on the control panel regulate the flow of oil
sent from the pumps at variable levels. These in turn supply the track
movement motors. Use the levers in such a way that you do not put the
gears under stress & do not excessively overload the engine.
If the machine appears to be under a lot of pressure, slow down the
movement control lever so that the speed is reduced & the surge of power in
the forwards phase is increased.
