Turn Hydraulic PTO Valve to ‘Off position (Control 7, Figure 3.1) and
disconnect PTO quick connect hoses. Connect remote hydraulic hoses to
PTO and to remote control valve turn PTO back to ‘On’ position. Connect
the four main hydraulic hoses from mast assembly to the remote control
valve.
Operate as for Soil Sampling 3.7 above.
3.11 OPERATING ON SLOPES
Before tracking to location while still on level ground remove the two
rear bolts securing the body to the undercarriage.
If necessary, dig out flat bench of appropriate size to accept the mast
assembly and front legs. Track to position on slope and chock the tracks -
NOTE: Tracks may creep when engine is running.
Raise body to horizontal position and adjust as necessary to ensure that
mast is vertical.
Operate as for Soil Sampling 3.7 above.
3.12 SERVICING HYDRAULICS
To access hydraulic components in base of undercarriage remove two rear
bolts securing the body to the undercarriage and then raise body to its full
extent. Ensure that the body support rod (Item 9 Drg TAV.1 96240003) is
located fully in the socket on the underside of the body.
3.13 EXTRACTION RAM PULL
Operators should not exert max extraction ram pull of 7 Tonne when outer
mast head is more than 0.5m above ground level. It is vital that Jack Foot
Plates are on level solid ground at all times when pulling rods/casing from the
borehole. On soft ground ensure solid flat support is placed under the Jack
Foot Plates.

3.14.1 MOUNTING
To replace the Drive Sampling Mast Assembly PST/2010/F200 with the 7:1
Rotary Attachment PST/2250/F201, ensure that the Mast Assembly is in the
vertical drilling position on solid ground then turn off the engine. Disconnect
the four hydraulic hose quick connects on the rig body. Remove the 2 locking
pins at the base of the mast (Item 6 Drg PST2000/F/200). Start engine and
reverse track undercarriage to separate mast assembly from main rig body.
Drive track undercarriage into position to locate Pivot Frame Assembly in
base of Rotary Attachment and replace locking pins. Turn off engine and
then attach hydraulic hoses to the quick connects on the rig body.
