Usage Features:

  • Getting Started:
    • Download the Dario App from the Apple App Store® or Google Play.
    • Install four AA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the scale.
    • Set up a cellular connection: After inserting batteries, the cellular signal symbol will display on the LCD. A successful connection shows a solid symbol, while a failed connection displays "E1". If connection fails, try moving the scale to a location with stronger cellular connectivity.
    • Pair the scale with the Dario App: Go to Menu > Settings > CONNECTED APPS & DEVICES > Dario Smart Scale (Cellular) in the Dario App and follow the instructions.
  • First-time Measurement:
    • Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Soft surfaces like carpets can affect performance.
    • Ensure measurements are taken at the same time, on the same scale, in the same place.
    • Step onto the scale with bare feet and stand still.
    • The numbers on the LCD screen will blink twice, then display your weight.
    • Your weight will be transmitted to the Dario App after 10 seconds.
    • After successful transmission, "oH" will be displayed, and "oP" will blink. If data transfer fails, "E1" will be displayed.
    • The scale will turn off automatically after approximately 3 seconds.
  • Changing Measurement Unit: Press the black "UNIT" button on the battery cover to cycle between pounds, kilograms, and stones.
  • Safety Guidelines:
    • Do not use the scale on a slippery or wet floor.
    • Do not step onto the scale when your body or feet are wet (e.g., after bathing or showering).
    • Do not step on the edges of the measurement platform; the scale may tilt.
    • Keep the scale away from cell phones and microwave ovens.
    • Ensure the device is at room temperature (20°C) for at least 2 hours before use if stored in extreme temperatures.
    • Do not use near high frequency surgical equipment or RF shielded rooms.
    • Portable RF communications equipment should not be used closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the device.
    • Avoid stacking with other equipment.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Clean the scale with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners, or expose the scale to corrosive gases. Do not wash or submerge the scale in water.
  • Storage: Store the scale in a safe and dry location. Do not expose it to extreme temperatures, humidity, moisture, direct sunlight, dust, or salt air.
  • Handling: Do not subject the scale to shaking or strong shocks, such as dropping on the floor.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace all four AA batteries when the "LO" error is displayed or if the display dims or does not light up. Ensure proper polarity. Worn batteries are hazardous waste and should be disposed of according to local ordinances. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Weight overload ('----'): Step off the scale and try again after 10 minutes.
    • Low Battery ('LO'): Check battery installation; replace all four batteries if the error persists.
    • Scale failed to connect to cellular network ('E1'): Move the scale to a location with stronger cellular connectivity.
    • IC is damaged ('Err'): Contact Dario customer support.
    • Signal not strong enough ('E4'): Replace batteries and try again. Move the scale to a location with stronger cellular connectivity.
    • SIM card error ('E5'): Contact Dario customer support.
