Magnetic Card Reader Use: To conduct a magnetic credit/debit card transaction, the user positions the magnetic card with the stripe facing left and inserts it into the MS card reader slot, then quickly swipes it. After the swipe, the device is handed to the customer for signature or PIN entry. The transaction procedure may vary based on the loaded application, so users are advised to verify the specific steps with their application provider.
Smart Card Reader Use: For smart card transactions, the smart card is positioned with the gold contacts facing upward and inserted into the ICC card reader slot in a smooth, continuous motion until it seats firmly. The device is then handed to the customer for PIN entry. The card should remain in the reader until the display indicates that the transaction is completed; premature removal can void the transaction. As with magnetic cards, the exact procedure may depend on the application loaded on the BLUEPAD-5000.
Contactless Card Reading: To perform a contactless card transaction, a contactless card is placed near the contactless logo shown on the BluePad-5000 display.
