the nut mmus

spnng replace

Jet
and
petrol
feed
tube
4 Screw
the
adJustmg
nut
up
to Its full
extent
and
push
the
Jet
head
up agamst
the
adJustmg
nut
5 Release the
Jet
locknut to
a
pomt where
It IS
Just
possible
to
move
the
Jet
sleeve
under
hght
pressure

Remove the
piston
damper
and
carefully press
the
suchon
piston
and needle down mto the
Jet
tube One
or
two
light taps
on the
carburettor
body
with
the handle
of a
screwdnver
will
help
to centre
the
Jet Tighten
the
Jet
sleeve
locknut
7 Raise the suchon
piston
Via
the
hftmg pm
and
allow
It to fall under ItS
own
weight
If the
Jet
IS
correctly
centred
a
soft metallic click should
be
heard as
the
piston
stop
stnkes on
the ventun

Repeat
the test
with the
Jet
m the
fully
lowered
poslhon
If there IS
any
audible
difference m the tone
or
mtenslty
of
the chck m
the
two
positIOns
of the
Jet
It Will
be necessary
to
repeat
the
centnng operatIOns
until
a
sahsfactory positIOn
IS
obtamed

Jet
tube
and fuel
supply
tube
assembly
and
also
the
adJustmg
nut
IO Replace
the
spnng
and
adjusting
nut and mstal
the
Jet
tube
assembly
Connect the
fuel
feed
tube
to
the
bottom of
the float chamber
To
Adjust
Float Level

Disconnect the
fuel
pipe
at
the
float
chamber
cover
2 Remove the four
retammg
screws and
hft off
the
float chamber cover
assembly
3 Invert
the cover and
raise
the
lever with the
fingers
until
the lever seat IS
Just
clear
of the
needle
yalve stem

Now carefully
lower the
lever
until
the
lever seat IS

on
the
needle valve stem

In

measure the distance from
the
gasket
surface of the cover to
the
lughest pomt
