What causes erratic depth on DCI Industrial Equipment?
    • J
      Jennifer LewisSep 23, 2025
If your DCI Industrial Equipment is showing Erratic depth, it could be caused by interference. Check for electrical interference. It could also be that the transmitter is off, so ensure the transmitter is powered on. Finally, the receiver or transmitter may have malfunctioned, so test the receiver and transmitter for faults.

Why is my DCI DigiTrak Mark III Industrial Equipment showing the incorrect depth?
    • J
      Joshua SalinasAug 23, 2025
An incorrect depth reading on your DCI Industrial Equipment can stem from several factors. First, interference can disrupt the signal, so check for and reduce any potential sources. Second, ensure the ultrasonics are correctly set. Third, a bad calibration can lead to inaccurate readings, so recalibrate the equipment. Fourth, a weak signal from the transmitter can cause issues, so ensure it's functioning correctly. Also, make sure the receiver is directly over the transmitter when taking a depth reading. Lastly, there could be a receiver malfunction, so check the receiver for any faults.

What causes erratic information on the DCI DigiTrak Mark III receiver?
    • G
      gutierrezjamesAug 26, 2025
Erratic information on the DCI Industrial Equipment receiver can be caused by interference. Check for electrical interference. Another cause may be a low battery in the receiver. Try replacing or recharging the receiver battery. Finally, moisture inside the equipment can also lead to erratic behavior; in this case, call DCI for information about field methods for “drying” out the equipment.

Why does my DCI Industrial Equipment remote display have dashes across windows?
    • S
      Samantha MeltonAug 27, 2025
If your DCI Industrial Equipment remote display shows dashes across the windows, it could be because the receiver is set on channel 0, which turns off the telemetry. To fix this, set the receiver to the correct channel. Another possibility is that the receiver and remote display are on different channels, so ensure they are both set to the same channel.

Why does the depth suddenly decrease on my DCI DigiTrak Mark III Industrial Equipment?
    • R
      ronaldperezAug 27, 2025
If the depth suddenly decreases by 18–24 inches (46–61 cm) on your DCI Industrial Equipment, it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the ultrasonics may not have been zeroed, and the receiver is being set on the ground for depth reading. To resolve this, zero the ultrasonics before taking depth readings. Second, avoid measuring with the receiver on the ground due to the likelihood of interference.

Why is there a minus sign in the bottom window of my DCI Industrial Equipment?
    • M
      Melissa FisherSep 16, 2025
If you see a minus sign (“–”) in the bottom window of your DCI Industrial Equipment, it could be because the receiver is set on the ground for depth reading, particularly at shallow depths, and the ultrasonics are not reset. Reset the ultrasonics. Another reason could be that the receiver has gone out of calibration. Recalibrate using either 1-point or 2-point calibration.

Why are the roll positions sticking on my DCI Industrial Equipment?
    • A
      Anna MillerSep 13, 2025
If you observe roll positions sticking or not being accurate on your DCI Industrial Equipment, it could be due to interference. If the squiggle in the top left window is not blinking regularly, check for electrical interference. If the squiggle is blinking regularly, there may be a transmitter or receiver malfunction. Test the transmitter or receiver.

What does 99 in the top right window of DCI Industrial Equipment mean?
    • U
      usmithSep 15, 2025
If you see '99' in the top right window of your DCI Industrial Equipment (with the trigger released), it means the transmitter temperature sensor has malfunctioned. Replace the transmitter.

Why are all the windows blank on my DCI Industrial Equipment?
    • W
      William VegaSep 5, 2025
If all windows are blank on your DCI Industrial Equipment, the receiver may have shut off to conserve battery life. Click the button to turn the receiver on. If the receiver will not stay on, the battery may be dead. Test the battery to see if it is fully charged.

    Melanie HarrisSep 3, 2025
Why does my DCI Industrial Equipment display 297-305 instead of 119-121 after calibration?
    • D
      Dr. Nicole BrownSep 3, 2025
If the depth after calibration displays as 297–305 instead of 119–121 on your DCI Industrial Equipment, the depth measurement mode in the receiver has likely been inadvertently changed from inches (English) to centimeters (metric). Change the depth measurement mode back from centimeters to inches.
