Usage Features:

Installation and Wiring:

The manual provides detailed instructions for safe and proper installation. Speakers should be securely fastened to prevent damage during driving. It is crucial to switch off the head unit and all other audio devices before installation to avoid damage. The speaker's location should not interfere with the vehicle's mechanical or electrical components.

Wiring diagrams illustrate various connection types for multiple speakers to achieve desired total impedance. For example:

  • Serial Connection:
    • Three 4 Ohm voice coils in series result in 12 Ohm total impedance.
    • Four 4 Ohm voice coils in series result in 16 Ohm total impedance.
  • Parallel Connection:
    • Two 4 Ohm voice coils in parallel result in 2 Ohm total impedance.
    • Three 4 Ohm voice coils in parallel result in 1.33 Ohm total impedance.
    • Four 4 Ohm voice coils in parallel result in 1 Ohm total impedance.
  • Mixed Connection (Example):
    • Four 4 Ohm voice coils in a mixed configuration can result in 4 Ohm total impedance.

The manual also includes a table for selecting the appropriate speaker cable diameter based on cable length and power consumption, ensuring efficient power delivery and preventing overheating.

Filtering and Amplifier Settings:

Correct amplifier selection and settings are critical for the lifespan and performance of the audio system. The nominal power of the amplifier should not exceed the nominal power of the speakers. Proper coordination between the head unit (HU) and the amplifier is essential to prevent signal distortion, overheating, and voice coil damage.

  • Recommended HU Volume: Should not exceed 80%.
  • Recommended Amplifier Sensitivity: Should be set to 50%.
  • Recommended Filter Settings:
    • High Pass Filter (HPF) should be set to 80-120 Hz (24 dB/Oct) or 120-160 Hz (12 dB/Oct). This filter cuts all frequencies below the set value, protecting the speakers from damaging low frequencies.
  • Recommended Amplifiers: MLA-60.2, MLA-60.4, MLA-70.2XS, MLA-80.4XS, MLA-100.2, MLA-100.4, MLA-150.2XS, MLA-160.2, MLA-160.4.

Safety Instructions:

  • Always follow safety rules when working with tools.
  • Avoid dropping the speaker to prevent damage to its moving parts.
  • Do not install components in areas exposed to water, excessive humidity, high or low temperature, dust, or dirt. The product operates within a temperature range of +5 °C (41F) to +40 °C (104F). If moisture condensation occurs, allow the product to dry.
  • When performing car modifications (plumbing, drilling, cutting), ensure no wiring, brake lines, fuel pipes, or other structural elements are damaged. Use protective glasses and gloves.
  • Speaker cables should be routed away from sharp edges or moving mechanical devices, firmly fixed, and protected along their entire length.
  • Never stretch cables outside the car or near moving parts to prevent insulation damage, short circuits, and fire.
  • Use rubber gaskets or similar materials where wires pass through holes or near heat-exposed parts.
  • CAUTION: High sound pressure can damage your health. Always use common sense when controlling volume.
