This document describes a dehumidifier, outlining its functions, usage, and maintenance procedures.
Function Description
The dehumidifier operates on the principle of freezing technology to remove excess moisture from the air, ensuring a dry and comfortable indoor environment. It offers powerful dehumidification capabilities, making it effective in various settings. The device is designed with humidity adjustability, allowing users to select different dehumidification levels to suit specific room needs.
A key feature is its low-temperature operation with automatic defrosting. When the room temperature is between 5°C and 12°C, the machine will pause for defrosting every 30 minutes. If the room temperature is between 12°C and 20°C, defrosting occurs every 45 minutes. This intelligent design ensures efficient operation even in cooler conditions.
The dehumidifier also includes a continuous drainage option. By connecting a 10mm inner diameter water pipe to the drain port on the back of the product, and routing it through the water tank gap, water can be continuously drained from the machine, eliminating the need for frequent manual emptying of the water tank.
Usage Features
The dehumidifier is designed for ease of use with several user-friendly features. It has a cleverly portable design, being simple and lightweight, which makes it convenient to move around as needed.
The display features a three-color aperture (red, blue, purple) and a "Double 8" word screen. Upon powering on, the aperture lights up. The color indicates ambient humidity or temperature: red for ambient humidity above 70, purple for ambient temperature below 50, and blue for ambient humidity between 50 and 70.
The device is controlled via several buttons: "Settings," "Fan Speed," "Negative Ion," "Timing," "Mode," and "Power."
Upon initial power-on, the machine enters standby mode after a single buzzer beep. The ambient humidity is displayed for 3 seconds, then the display turns off. Pressing the "Power" button activates the dehumidifier. For the first 20 seconds, the indoor temperature is displayed, followed by the ambient humidity for another 20 seconds. Subsequently, the real-time temperature and humidity alternate every 20 seconds. Pressing the "Power" button during operation will shut down the machine. The default operating mode is dehumidification.
The "Fan Speed" button allows users to switch between high and low fan speeds, with corresponding indicator lights illuminating. In drying mode, the fan speed adjusts automatically: high wind when humidity is above 55%, low wind when humidity is below 50%, and either high or low wind between 50-55%.
The "Settings" button is used to adjust the humidity setting value. This is effective in dehumidification mode, with a default setting of 40% humidity. The adjustable range is 40%-80%, with 5% intervals. When setting the humidity, the "Double 8" display flashes. After 5 seconds of inactivity, it returns to the normal display. When the ambient humidity drops to 2% below the set value, the compressor stops, but the fan continues to operate. If the ambient humidity rises to 2% above the set value, the compressor restarts after a three-minute protection time. If the compressor has been off for more than 3 minutes and the current humidity remains below the set value, the fan will automatically turn off. In drying mode, humidity cannot be set, defaulting to 30%.
The "Timing" button enables scheduling operations. In the shutdown state, pressing "Timing" displays the timing duration (01-24 hours), allowing users to set a scheduled power-on time. In the power-on state, pressing "Timing" displays the timing duration (01-24 hours), allowing users to set a scheduled shutdown time. After setting, the display returns to normal. The timer function is automatically canceled if the machine is turned on/off manually or if the water tank becomes full.
The "Negative Ion" button controls the negative ion function, with an indicator light showing when it is active.
The "Mode" button allows selection between two working modes: dehumidification and drying mode.
The device also incorporates a "Quiet Operation" design for low-noise performance and an "Energy-Saving" design based on piezoelectric power consumption.
Water Tank and Safety Warnings
When the water tank is full, the "water full" indicator illuminates, and the buzzer beeps 15 times to alert the user, after which the machine automatically stops. The water tank must be emptied for the machine to resume operation.
To empty the water tank, hold both sides of the tank and pull it out, then discard the water.
Several safety warnings are provided:
- Always unplug the dehumidifier before cleaning or storing it.
- Do not immerse the machine in water or place it near a water source.
- Avoid placing the machine near heaters or flammable dangerous goods.
- Do not insert fingers or other objects into the air outlet or exhaust.
- Do not sit on the machine.
- Drain the water tank as required.
- Do not use the machine in a sealed environment to prevent fire hazards.
- Ensure the drain pipe is installed downwards for continuous condensate drainage.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by qualified professionals from the manufacturer or a similar service department to avoid danger.
- Before use, confirm that the socket provides 220VAC/50Hz.
- The product's working environment should be between 5-38°C and 27%-90%RH.
- Do not remove the float in the water tank, as this will prevent the water full sensor from detecting the water level, causing the machine to malfunction.
- Clean the water tank with cold or warm water. Do not use detergents, steel wool, chemically treated dust cloths, gasoline, benzene, thinner, or other solvents, as these can damage the tank and cause leaks.
- When reinserting the water tank, push both sides into the product with both hands. Improper placement will prevent the water full sensor from detecting it, and the dehumidifier will not work.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance ensures the dehumidifier's optimal performance and longevity.
Dehumidifier Cleaning:
The body of the dehumidifier should be wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Filter Cleaning:
- To clean the filter, pull out the lower edge of the filter frame, then remove the filter frame and the filter itself.
- Use a vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust from the filter surface. If the filter is heavily soiled, wash it with warm water and a mild detergent, then allow it to dry completely before reinstallation.
Filter Installation:
Insert the filter screen into the filter screen frame. Then, align the filter screen frame with the card slot on the product's rear shell and install it firmly in place.
Dehumidifier Storage:
When storing the product for an extended period, follow these steps:
- Empty any accumulated water from the water tank.
- Roll up the power cord neatly.
- Clean the filter thoroughly.
- Store the dehumidifier in a cool and dry environment.
Spatial Spacing:
When the dehumidifier is operating, ensure a minimum clearance of 20cm around the device to allow for proper airflow and efficient operation.
