  If your DEK Portable Generator runs and the voltmeter shows 240VAC and 120VAC, but no power goes to connected devices, try these solutions: * The extension cord or power strip could be bad. Try a different or shorter extension cord or a different power strip. * The connected device may have failed. Try a different light bulb or device. * The push button breaker may have tripped. Push the button to reset it. * The GFCI might have tripped. Push the red reset button very deep/firmly. * The GFCI may have failed. Replace the GFCI with any GFCI or household outlet.

  If your DEK Portable Generator engine runs, but bogs down under load, consider the following: * The spark arrestor may be dirty. Remove, clean, and replace it. * The choke might be open. Push the choke lever in. * The generator might be overloaded. Disconnect some appliances or devices to reduce the load. * The air filter may be dirty. Clean the air filter. * The fuel filter might be clogged.

How to fix a DEK Inverter when it won't start?

  If your DEK Inverter engine won't start, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the fuel valve is on and the tank isn't empty; if not, fill the tank and turn the valve on. Check the spark arrestor for clogs and clean it if necessary. Make sure the choke is closed during starting, and open it afterward. A failed vacuum check valve, a broken on/off switch, or low oil level can also prevent starting. Verify the oil switch/sensor functionality. Additionally, inspect the fuel filter and spark plug for dirt or damage, cleaning or replacing them as needed. Lastly, a clogged carburetor might be the culprit, requiring cleaning with fresh fuel.

  If your DEK Inverter is leaking engine oil, check for leaks from the crankcase. If the oil is leaking from crankcase, tighten the crankcase bolts. If the oil is leaking from the shaft, it may indicate that the oil seals have failed.
