Usage Features

The impact wrench offers several features to enhance usability and safety:

  • Forward/Reverse Switch: A three-position switch (3) controls the rotational direction. The center position locks the tool for transport and storage, preventing unintentional starting. Pushing to the left selects forward rotation, and pushing to the right selects reverse rotation.
  • Function Switch: A dedicated function switch (7) allows users to cycle through different operating modes.
  • Mode Indicator: An LED mode indicator (6) displays the currently selected mode.
    • Forward Rotation Modes (Green light):
      • Low mode (1): For lighter tasks, offering 0-1000 RPM and 0-1800 IPM with a max torque of 250 N.m.
      • Medium mode (2): For general tasks, offering 0-1800 RPM and 0-2400 IPM with a max torque of 300 N.m.
      • High mode (3): For demanding tasks, offering 0-2450 RPM and 0-3200 IPM with a max torque of 350 N.m.
    • Reverse Rotation Modes (Red light):
      • Self-stop mode (S): When activated (red light on), the wrench stops immediately when stalled during unscrewing, preventing nuts from dropping and conserving battery power. Offers 0-2450 RPM and 0-3200 IPM with a max torque of 350 N.m.
      • Non-stop mode: When the mode indicator (6) is off, the self-stop function is not active. Offers 0-2450 RPM and 0-3200 IPM with a max torque of 350 N.m.
  • Variable Speed Control Trigger: The speed on/off control trigger (4) allows for variable speed operation. Squeezing the trigger turns the tool on, and releasing it turns it off, engaging the electric brake. Continuous use in variable speed range is not recommended to prevent switch damage.
  • LED Worklight: An integrated LED worklight (2) automatically turns on when the speed control trigger is squeezed and remains on for a few seconds after release, illuminating the direct work area. It is not suitable for household room illumination.
  • Battery Pack: The tool uses a 20V lithium-ion battery pack (9). It is installed by aligning it with the rails in the handle and sliding it until firmly seated. Removal is done by pressing the release button (8) and pulling the pack out.
  • Battery Charging: The battery is partially charged upon delivery and should be fully charged before first use. The adapter/charger (14) connects to the charging input port (12). The indicator light (15) is red during charging and turns green when fully charged. Charging should only occur within 10°C-40°C (50°F-104°F). Only original DEKO batteries and chargers should be used.
  • Belt Hook: A belt hook (11) and screw (10) are included for convenient carrying and can be fixed onto the wrench if desired.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the impact wrench:

  • General Cleaning: The machine and ventilation slots should be kept clean for safe and proper working.
  • Pre-Operation/Transport Safety: Before any work on the machine (maintenance, tool change, etc.) or during transport and storage, the forward/reverse switch (3) must be set to the center position to prevent unintentional activation.
  • Repair and Adjustment: To ensure product safety and reliability, all repairs and adjustments should be performed by a qualified repair person using only identical DEKO replacement parts.
  • Storage: The impact wrench and its accessories should be thoroughly cleaned before storage. Store the tool out of reach of children in a stable and secure place.
  • Battery Care:
    • Recharge only with the specified charger.
    • Use only specifically designated battery packs.
    • Keep battery packs away from other metal objects when not in use to prevent shorting.
    • Avoid contact with liquid ejected from the battery; flush with water if contact occurs and seek medical help if liquid contacts eyes.
    • Do not use damaged or modified battery packs or tools.
    • Do not expose battery packs or tools to fire or excessive temperatures above 40°C.
    • Follow all charging instructions and charge within the specified temperature range.
    • Observe notes for battery disposal.
