7.3 On/off outputs
If you require digital outputs then you can define the number. The maximum number of digital
outputs you can program is 5: F5, F4, F3, F2 and F1. The outputs F1 - F4 correspond with the
output pins 10 - 13 of the DM02 in the standard connection diagram. F5 is standard not mapped
on an output.
However, when you already have enabled a digital R-axes you only have three digital outputs
left. The R-digital always uses F1 and F2. In this case you can only use F3, F4 and F5 for
additional digital outputs.
Figure 7.3.a
There are three parameters to define the number of digital outputs, the least significant digital
output and the default value of the selected digital outputs in the user screens.
There is a possibility to program a second set of digital function outputs. To activate these
outputs, choose axis type ‘FD2’ in the auxiliary axis menu. This will enable a second set of
digital outputs to a maximum of 5. This second set can be programmed in the same way as the
first set.
These 5 output signals are not mapped on module outputs. To utilise these outputs, the Delem
sequencer on the control will have to be modified.
