8 I-axes
8.1 Introduction
In the auxiliary axes menu you can program the required axes. There are three different types of
I-axes controlling the die movement. The number of axes you can program depends on the type
of control.
The following types of I-axes can be programmed:
• Servo I-axis
• AC I-axis
• I-axis with 1-speed AC-motor with potentiometer feedback
• Digital I-axis
The parameters are discussed in order of appearance.
• The servo I-axis and AC I-axis contain the same parameters as discussed in chapter 5.
• The I-axis with 1 speed AC-motor is discussed in section 8.2. This type of axis can be
compared with the crowning axes of chapter 6.
• The digital I-axis is discussed in section 8.3.
If you have programmed the required ‘axis type’ you can program the corresponding parameters
after pressing the softkey ‘change parameters’.
