Function Description
The JSZ3 series time relay provides timed control functions for industrial automation. Depending on the specific model, it offers different delay types and conversion methods.
Model JSZ3A, JSZ3C, JSZ3F, JSZ3K, JSZ3Y, JSZ3R:
These models primarily offer delay 2 conversion or delay 1 conversion. Some models, like JSZ3C and JSZ3F, include transient 1 conversion or delay 2 conversion with transient 1 conversion. JSZ3Y features a delay star-delta conversion with transient 1 normally open. JSZ3R offers delay 1 conversion.
Model JSZ3P-A, JSZ3P-C, JSZ3P-F, JSZ3P-K, JSZ3P-Y, JSZ3P-R:
These models also provide delay 2 conversion or delay 1 conversion. JSZ3P-C and JSZ3P-F include transient 1 conversion. JSZ3P-Y features a delay star-delta conversion with transient 1 normally open.
Delay Types and Features:

- Installation location: Should be in places where there is no medium without harsh vibration or explosion hazards. The medium must not contain gas or conductive dust that causes metal corrosion or damage to the insulation free from the rain or snow erosion.

- Coordination with short-circuit protective device (SCPD): RT16-00, 10A fuse is recommended as SCPD, and the basic protection type "1" is used for coordination; that is, the relay shall not cause hazard to the person or equipment under short circuit conditions, and cannot be operated continuously before the repair or replacement of parts. When the fuse protective device of the different model or specification is selected, the original coordination may fail.

- JSZ3A: 0.5s/50s, 30s/3min, 1h/10h, 60s/6min, 5min/30min, 10min/60min, 60s/10min, 60min/6h, 2min/20min, 2h/12h, 4min/40min, 4h/24h.
- JSZ3C: 0.1s-1s, 0.2s-2s, 0.5s-5s, 0.6s-6s, 1-10s, 2-20s, 3-30s, 6-60s, 10-100s, 18-180s, 0.4-4min, 0.5-5min, 0.6-6min, 1-10min, 2-20min, 3-30min.
- JSZ3P-S: 0.1s-9999h.

Usage Features
Installation and Wiring:
- Mounting: Install the product according to the size of the holes and the size of the mounting hole.
- Wiring: Wire the relay properly according to the wiring diagram. Connect the wiring firmly with an insulating Vush after all wiring terminals are connected. When installing plugs and sockets, be sure to align with the pins properly to prevent accidents due to short circuit of power supply.
- Power Supply Check: Check that the power supply must be consistent with the rated operating voltage of the product, and preset the required delay time.
- Operation: Turn on the power. At this time the relay starts to work; when the preset time expires, the delay contact will be converted to realize the timing control.
- Multi-gear Specifications: The JSZ3 series relay multi-gear specifications have different delay gears, and they can be converted easily through the conversion switch located at the front of the time relay. To switch the delay gear, first remove the set Vutton, dismantle the scale plate, and then toggle the conversion switch according to the delay range diagram marked on the nameplate. Install the scale plate and the Vutton according to the original positions; the position of the conversion switch shall be consistent with the switch position mark on the scale plate.
- Power-off Delay Type: For power-off delay type, the power-on time must be greater than 3s to ensure that the internal capacitor is fully charged.

Maintenance Features
Operation Precautions:
- Operating Voltage: The operating voltage of the relay shall be within the rated operating voltage range.
- Load Power: When the load power is greater than the rated value of relay, an intermediate relay is provided.
- Product Integrity: It is strictly forbidden to install or disassemble the energized product.
- Technical Characteristics: The equipment that may cause major economic losses or personal safety is designed to make the technical characteristics and performance values have sufficient allowance, and safety measures such as double circuit protection should be adopted.
Common Faults and Troubleshooting:
- Not work after startup:
- No power: Check if the power supply are not wired and the wiring is improperly connected or disconnected, and the power supply is not connected.
- Relay failed to convert: When the delay time expires: check whether the relay is wired properly, whether the power voltage is too low, whether the relay has a poor contact, and whether the relay is damaged.
- Product Vural: Check whether the power supply voltage exceeds the rated power voltage of the product, and check whether the wiring is connected improperly.
- Troubleshooting: In case of failure of product, first cut off the power, and then connect the wire properly according to the wiring diagram; operate the product according to the Installation and Operation Instructions after checking that the line works normally. If the product has the poor quality problem, please contact the local dealer or our company.
Transport and Storage:
- Protection: The product shall be free from the rain or snow erosion or squeezing during storage and transportation, and shall be stored in well ventilated places where the relative humidity (25°C±5°C) does not exceed 90%, the lower limit of the temperature is -25°C, and the upper limit of the temperature is +55°C.
Unpacking and Inspection:
- Check contents: Open the outer carton and check that there is the Operation Instruction and Certificates in the packing box.
