40 | Palm Rest
2 Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
3 Remove the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer base.
4 Lift the connector latches and pull the pull-tabs to disconnect the
hot-key board cable, power-button board cable, and touch-pad cable from the
connectors on the system board.
CAUTION: Carefully separate the palm rest from the display assembly to avoid
damage to the display assembly.
5 Using your fingertips, push the palm rest up from the slot in the optical-drive bay.
6 Carefully pry out the palm rest and then ease the palm rest from the computer
base.
