Overview

The Dellonda 36/50/60L Portable Dual Zone Compressor Car Camping Fridge/Freezer is a versatile cooling and freezing appliance designed for use in vehicles and various outdoor or residential settings. It operates on 12V/24V DC power, with an optional 230V adapter (Model No. DL129) for home use.

Function Description:

This portable fridge/freezer offers dual-zone functionality, allowing users to set different temperatures for two separate compartments. A removable divider enables the appliance to function as a single large compartment if desired. It utilizes a compressor for efficient cooling and freezing, making it suitable for storing food and beverages during camping trips, in cars, or in other environments where portable refrigeration is needed. The appliance is designed to maintain temperatures ranging from -20°C to +20°C.

Important Technical Specifications:

The Dellonda portable fridge/freezer comes in three models, differing primarily in capacity and internal dimensions:

  • DL13.v2: 36L Capacity, 60W Power rating. Dimensions (w x d x h): 723 x 360 x 368mm. Internal (w x d x h): 550 x 270 x 285mm.
  • DL14.v2: 50L Capacity, 60W Power rating. Dimensions (w x d x h): 723 x 360 x 458mm. Internal (w x d x h): 550 x 270 x 375mm.
  • DL15.v2: 60L Capacity, 60W Power rating. Dimensions (w x d x h): 723 x 360 x 548mm. Internal (w x d x h): 550 x 270 x 465mm.

All models share the same temperature range of -20°C to +20°C and use R600a refrigerant. They are supplied with a 12/24V auxiliary power lead. The appliance features a USB port (5V/1A) for charging other devices.

Usage Features:

  • Power Supply: Connects to DC12V/24V. A 230V adapter (DL129, sold separately) allows for home use.
  • Display Screen Initialization: Upon connection to power, the unit beeps, and the display shows for two seconds before entering standby mode.
  • Power ON/OFF: A short press of the On/Off button turns the unit ON; a long press (three seconds) turns it OFF.
  • Temperature Control: Temperature is set using '+' or '-' buttons.
  • Dual Zone Operation: When the divider is inserted, a long press of '+-' on the upper screen for three seconds toggles the left compartment on/off. The left compartment's temperature cannot be lower than the right compartment's, and the right compartment cannot be turned off independently. If the divider is removed, the unit functions as a single zone, and temperature is adjusted via the upper screen only.
  • Cooling Mode: Users can switch between MAX (fast cooling) and ECO (energy-saving mode) by pressing the cooling mode button when the product is running. The factory setting is MAX.
  • Battery Protection Mode: To protect the vehicle battery, the unit offers H (High), M (Medium), and L (Low) battery protection modes. This setting can be adjusted by long-pressing the battery protection button for three seconds until the screen flashes, then pressing it again to select the desired mode.
  • Temperature Unit Setting: To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), turn off the fridge, long-press the temperature unit button for three seconds until 'E1' displays, then press it again to navigate to 'E5'. In 'E5' mode, use '+' or '-' to select the desired unit. The factory setting is °C.
  • Reset: To reset the unit, turn off the fridge, long-press the reset button for three seconds until 'E1' displays. In 'E1' mode, long-press '+-' simultaneously for three seconds.
  • Safety Guidelines: Users are advised not to operate the appliance if visibly damaged, block ventilation gaps, expose it to rain or water, place it near heat sources or naked flames, or store explosive substances inside. The supply cord must be dry and undamaged. The appliance should be placed on a level surface for at least 6 hours before turning on and should remain horizontal during operation, with a tilt angle less than 5° for normal use and less than 45° for short periods.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Always switch off and unplug the device before cleaning to prevent electric shock. Use a wet cloth to clean and dry the device. Do not soak the fridge in water or wash it directly. Abrasive cleaning agents should not be used as they can damage the device.
  • Storage: If the device will not be used for an extended period, switch it off, unplug it, remove all stored items, wipe off excess water, and store it in a cool, dry place with the lid slightly open to prevent odors. The recommended storage environment is an ambient temperature of 25°C and humidity equal to or less than 75%.
  • Defrosting: Frost can accumulate inside the cooling device or on the evaporator, reducing cooling capacity. To defrost, switch off and unplug the device, then remove all stored items. Wipe off the defrosted water. Avoid using hard or pointed tools to remove ice.

Troubleshooting:

The manual provides a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the refrigerator not working, compartments being too warm, food freezing, unusual noises (water flow, compressor), water drops around the casing, and error codes (F1-F8). Solutions range from checking power connections and settings to restarting the device or contacting the manufacturer for service. For example, F1 indicates low voltage, suggesting adjustment of battery protection mode; F2 indicates an overloaded condenser fan; F3 points to frequent compressor starts; F4 suggests the compressor is not kicking in; F5 indicates overheating of the compressor or electronics; F6 implies a parameter detection issue by the controller; and F7/F8 signify a faulty temperature sensor.

Environmental Protection:

Dellonda emphasizes recycling unwanted packaging materials and proper disposal of the appliance at the end of its useful life, in accordance with local waste regulations. The product contains one or more batteries, which should also be disposed of responsibly. The company offers a 12-month guarantee from the purchase date, requiring proof of purchase for any claim.
