Questions and Answers

Why is my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor not supplying enough air to operate accessories?
    • R
      Rebecca SmithAug 16, 2025
If your Delta Air Compressor isn't supplying enough air, first, try decreasing the amount of air you're using. Check the accessory's air requirements and, if they exceed your compressor's SCFM or pressure, consider a larger compressor. Also, inspect the hose for holes and replace it if needed. Finally, ensure all fittings are tightened to prevent air leaks.

What to do if there is an air leak from the safety valve of my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor?
    • M
      Michael FowlerAug 18, 2025
If the safety valve on your Delta Air Compressor is leaking air, manually operate the safety valve by pulling on the ring. If the valve continues to leak, it needs to be replaced.

What to do if the safety valve pops off due to excessive tank pressure in my Delta Air Compressor?
    • A
      Ashley ConleyAug 22, 2025
If your Delta Air Compressor experiences excessive tank pressure, causing the safety valve to pop off, immediately set the Auto/On/Off switch to the "OFF" position. If the unit doesn't shut off, contact a Trained Service Technician.

How to fix a Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor when the motor will not run?
    • M
      Mrs. Sharon GreenAug 25, 2025
If the motor of your Delta Air Compressor won't run, allow the compressor to cool down for about 30 minutes to reset the thermal overload switch. If it still doesn't start, empty the air from the tank and refer to the information about the thermal overload protector cutting out repeatedly. Check the fuse box for blown fuses and replace them as needed, using a time delay fuse with the correct rating. Reset the circuit breaker. Ensure you're not using an extension cord that's the wrong length or gauge. If problems persist, have it checked by a Trained Service Technician.

    Eric JohnsonAug 27, 2025
Why does the thermal overload protector keep cutting out on my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor?
    • M
      Marilyn SteinAug 27, 2025
If the thermal overload protector in your Delta Air Compressor cuts out repeatedly, inspect the extension cord for the correct length and gauge. Ensure the compressor is operating in a well-ventilated area. Contact a Trained Service Technician for further assistance.

How to stop the fan on my Delta Air Compressor?
    • J
      Jeffrey SmithAug 30, 2025
To stop the fan on your Delta Air Compressor, turn the Auto/On/Off switch to the "OFF" position. It is normal for the fan to run continuously when the unit is in the "ON" position.

What to do if there are air leaks at the fittings of my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor?
    • J
      Jillian GomezSep 2, 2025
If you notice air leaks at the fittings of your Delta Air Compressor, use a soapy water solution to check all exposed fittings. If leaks are found, reseal the fittings with pipe sealant tape and retighten them securely, but do not overtighten. If the leaks continue, contact a Trained Service Technician.

Why is my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor excessively starting and stopping?
    • N
      Nicole DaltonSep 5, 2025
If you observe excessive "auto" starting and stopping of your Delta Air Compressor, drain the tank to remove any condensation.
  • W

What to do if there are air leaks in the air tank of my Delta ShopMaster CP200?
    • D
      David BairdSep 9, 2025
If you have air leaks in the air tank or at the air tank welds of your Delta Air Compressor, the air tank must be replaced. Do not attempt to repair the leak, drill into, weld, or modify the air tank, as this will weaken it and could cause it to rupture or explode.
  • C
    Crystal RogersSep 12, 2025
What to do if pressure reading drops when an accessory is used with my Delta ShopMaster CP200 Air Compressor?
    • A
      Alison PattonSep 12, 2025
It is normal for some pressure drop to occur on your Delta Air Compressor. If there is an excessive amount of pressure drop when the accessory is used, adjust the regulator following the instructions in the "Description of Operation" paragraph in the "Operation Section. NOTE: Adjust the regulated pressure under flow conditions (while accessory is being used).
