Why do my Desa SL-5326 Controller lights stay on continuously?
    • J
      Jennifer ElliottJul 28, 2025
Your Desa Controller lights might stay on because a flood lamp is too close to the sensor, or pointed at objects that trigger it. Try repositioning the lamp. Another reason could be that the Light Control is pointed toward a heat source; in this case, reposition the sensor and reduce the range. Finally, ensure that the Light Control is not in Manual Mode; switch it to Auto.

How to fix Desa SL-5326 Controller lights that will not come on?
    • G
      Gregory MurrayAug 1, 2025
If your Desa Controller lights won't turn on, start by checking if the light switch is on. If not, turn it on. Also, verify that the flood light isn't loose or burned out; tighten or replace it if needed. Ensure that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker isn't off; replace the fuse or turn on the breaker. If it is daytime, re-check after dark to account for the daylight turn-off feature. If it's a new installation, check for incorrect circuit wiring. Finally, make sure the sensor is correctly aimed to cover the desired area.

What to do if Desa Controller lights flash on and off?
    • S
      sbushAug 6, 2025
If your Desa Controller lights are flashing, it could be due to heat or light from the lamps affecting the sensor. Try repositioning the lamps. Reflected heat from other objects might also be the cause, so reposition the sensor. Check if the Light Control is in Test mode and warming up; if so, turn Boost off. Lastly, light may be leaking through the flood-lamp reflectors, so replace the lamps with new, high-quality PAR 38 lamps, or on Model SL-5318, ensure the metal lamp protectors are installed.

Why does Desa Controller turn lights on for no apparent reason?
    • M
      Matthew HarrisAug 10, 2025
Your Desa Controller lights may activate due to the sensor detecting small animals or automobile traffic. Try re-aiming the sensor. Also, the range might be set too high, so reduce it. Lastly, ensure that the 2-LEVEL Lighting Timer is turned off.

Why does my Desa SL-5326 turn lights on in daylight?
    • J
      Jennifer JohnsonAug 15, 2025
The Desa Controller lights might be turning on during the day because the Light Control is installed in a relatively dark location; if so, move it to a brighter area. Also, check if the Light Control is in Test mode; if it is, set the control switch to an ON-TIME position.
  • N
    Nicole BarnesAug 19, 2025
Why do Desa SL-5326 lights turn off too late in Dusk-to-Dawn setting?
    • L
      Lori SharpAug 19, 2025
If your Desa Controller lights are turning off too late, it may be because the sensor is in a relatively dark location. Relocate the sensor or use the 3 hr or 6 hr setting.
  • S
    Seth DyerAug 23, 2025
What causes Desa SL-5326 Controller lights to flash once, then stay off in Manual Mode?
    • I
      igonzalezAug 23, 2025
The sensor may be detecting its own lights. Reposition lamps to keep the area below the sensor relatively dark.
