Why Despatch Oven is not heating up properly?
    • F
      Frank RichardsonAug 14, 2025
There are several reasons why your Despatch oven might not be heating correctly. It could be due to: * No power: Check the power source and fuses. * A broken or frayed cord: Replace the cord. * A burned-out heater: Replace the heater. * A malfunctioning controller: Replace the controller. * Loose wire connections: Disconnect the power and check the connections behind the control panel. * Heater relay failure: Replace the circuit board or SCR. * Airflow switch malfunction: Refer to Section 6.5.1 * Door switch failure: Replace the door switch.

What to do if my Despatch LAC 1-67-8 heats up too slowly?
    • Z
      zmillerAug 17, 2025
If your Despatch oven is heating up slowly, it could be due to several factors: * The oven is improperly loaded. Try reducing the load or redistributing it within the chamber. * There is low line voltage. Ensure sufficient power and proper connections, and check for circuit overload. * Heating elements are burned out. Replace any burned-out elements. * A 240-volt oven is connected to a 208V line. Raise the line voltage to 240 volts or modify the oven for 208V operation (consult factory). * Fan motor failure. Replace the fan motor.

Why does my Despatch LAC 1-67-8 Oven have erratic temperature?
    • D
      dhernandezAug 20, 2025
Erratic or inaccurate temperature in your Despatch oven can be caused by: * A malfunctioning controller. Replace the controller. * Improper tuning parameters. Check the tuning parameters. * Controller miscalibration. Recalibrate the controller (See Protocol 3 Owner’s Manual, sections on Calibration). * High Limit setting. The High Limit should be 10-25°C higher than the setpoint. * Improper offset. Check zone calibration.

What causes frequent heater element burnout in Despatch LAC 1-67-8?
    • J
      James MasonAug 25, 2025
Frequent heater element burnout in your Despatch oven can be attributed to: * Harmful fumes generated by the load. Increase vent opening or discontinue the process. * Splattering of material on heater elements. Disconnect power and clean the oven chamber and elements. * Overheating oven. Check the High Limit. * Fan motor failure. Replace the fan motor.
  • D
    Derek LewisAug 27, 2025
Why Despatch LAC 1-67-8 will not control at setpoint?
    • D
      Danny DavisAug 27, 2025
If your Despatch oven isn't controlling at the setpoint, consider these potential causes: * High Limit set too low: Set the High Limit higher. * Controller malfunction: Check controller settings or replace the controller. * SSR malfunction: Replace the SSR and/or check control output voltage. * Air friction of recirculation fan: Open fresh air or exhaust air vent. Note that the unit will not control below the minimum operating temperature with the vent closed.
  • J
    John LeeAug 31, 2025
Why is the surface or door temperature of my Despatch Oven excessive?
    • B
      brooke95Aug 31, 2025
Excessive surface or door temperature on your Despatch oven may be due to: * Door seal deterioration: Replace the door seal. * Oven over pressurization: Close the fresh air damper or, on LFC, open the exhaust damper.
  • O
    ortegachristopherSep 3, 2025
What causes excessive vibration in my Despatch LAC 1-67-8?
    • W
      walterskristenSep 3, 2025
Excessive vibration in your Despatch oven can be caused by: * A dirty fan wheel: Clean the fan. * An unbalanced fan wheel: Replace the fan wheel.

    Aimee NguyenSep 10, 2025
What to do if the heater of Despatch LAC 1-67-8 does not shut down until it reaches the High Limit setting?
    • M
      myersjesusSep 12, 2025
If the heater in your Despatch oven continues to run until it reaches the High Limit setting, it could be due to: * Controller malfunction: Replace the controller. * SSR malfunction: Replace the SSR.
