Lubricating Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
The oil filter is an integral part of the lubrication system. Proper filter selection and
maintenance are important to satisfactory engine performance and service life.
Authorized Detroit™ service outlets are properly equipped for this type of service.
Oil filter replacement should be used to maintain a clean system, but is not
sufficient to clean a contaminated system. If the oil is contaminated by fuel or
coolant, contact an authorized Detroit™ service outlet for further instructions.
