To Change Material Holders (Fig. C)
An alternate material holder is available at extra cost from your
local dealer or authorized service centre. Refer to Accessories for
contactinformation.
1. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw

and separate the
plunger

from the plunger rod

2. Loosen the material holder from the mounting collar and
remove the material holder.
3. Depress and hold the plunger rod release trigger

and pull
the plunger rod completely out from the unit.
4. With plunger rod release trigger depressed, insert new
plunging rod into theunit.
5. Screw the new material holder into the mountingcollar.
6. Install screw through the plunger onto the end of the
plungingrod.

Proper Hand Position (Fig. D)

Variable Speed Dial (Fig. E)
The material's rate of flow is controlled by the variable speed
dial

to accomodate variousapplications.
• Pick a speed by turning the dial to the desired setting.
NOTE: '1' is the lowest (slowest) setting and '6' is the
highest (fastest)setting.
Variable Speed Trigger (Fig. F)
In addition to the variable speed dial, the material's rate of flow
is also controlled with a variable speed trigger.
1. Squeeze the trigger switch

to turn the toolon.
NOTE: The further the trigger is depressed the faster the
rate offlow.
2. Release the trigger switch to turn the tool off.
Trigger Switch Lock-off (Fig. F)
Your tool is equipped with a trigger switch lock-off

to
safeguard against inadvertent release ofmaterial.
1. To lock the trigger switch, push trigger switch lock-off

up. The tool will not operate with the switch in the
lockedposition.
2. To unlock the trigger switch, push the trigger switch lock-
offdown.
Rotating Cartridge Holder (Fig. G)

Plunger Rod Handle (Fig. A)

injury, DO NOT use the plunger rod handle as a hook to
suspend objectsfrom.

To Adjust Plunger Rod (Fig. A)

To Insert Material
Cartridge Holder (Fig. A, I)
1. Ensure that plunger used is appropriate tomaterial.
NOTE: Using incorrect plunger may result in material
container exploding during use, damaging cartridge holder
and/or caulkgun.
2. Use the trigger switch lock-off

3. Trim nozzle end of the caulk/material tube (Fig.I). Small
openings require more force to push the material possibly
affecting batterylife.
4. Break inner seal of caulking tube or material using the poker

located on the under side of the cartridgeholder.
NOTICE: If the inner seal is not broken, material could
be forced out through the rear of the tube and damage
thetool.
NOTICE: Keep plunger rod, cartridge holder and cartridge
clean of all material. Retracting a plunger rod that is
covered with dried material may damage the internal
parts of the tool and cause misalignment oftube.
5. Securely hold the tool, press plunger rod release trigger

to declutch and free the plunger rod

, pull the plunger rod back to allow the caulk/
material tube to fit inside the cartridgeholder.
6. Insert caulk/materialtube.
