Overview

This document provides a comprehensive user manual for the DK6HP661B cooker hood, covering its functions, usage, and maintenance in multiple languages.

Function Description:

The cooker hood is designed to extract cooking fumes and odors from the kitchen. It features a control panel with several buttons and LED indicators for various functions:

  • Lamp (1): Turns the hood lights on and off, illuminating the cooking surface. The hood light operates independently of other hood functions.
  • Delayed switch off function button (2): Activates a timed automatic switch-off for the fan. An indicator (3) shows if this function is active.
  • Plus button (4): Increases the fan speed level.
  • LED indicators (5): Display the current fan speed level.
  • Minus button (6): Decreases the fan speed level.
  • Indicator for filter alarm function (7): Signals when the grease filter needs cleaning or the charcoal filter needs replacement/cleaning.

Usage Features:

To operate the hood:

  1. Pull out the drawer: Extend the hood drawer by more than 5 cm to expose the control panel.
  2. Switch on/adjust fan speed: Press the "Plus" button (4) to turn on the hood. Press it again to increase the fan speed. Use the "Minus" button (6) to decrease the fan speed. The LED indicators (5) will light up according to the selected speed.
  3. Turn off the fan: Continue pressing the "Minus" button (6) until the fan stops, or simply close the hood drawer. The hood remembers the last fan speed setting when the drawer is closed and will operate at that speed when pulled out again.
  4. Delayed switch off function:
    • Set the desired fan speed.
    • Press the "Delayed switch off function" button (2). The indicator (3) will turn on.
    • To deactivate, press the button again.
    • Changing the fan speed or closing the drawer while this function is active will deactivate it.
    • The fan will switch off automatically after a set time, which varies with the initial fan speed:
      • Speed 1: 20 minutes
      • Speed 2: 15 minutes
      • Speed 3: 10 minutes
      • Speed 4: 8 minutes
  5. Filter notification:
    • The filter alarm reminds users to clean the grease filter or replace/clean the charcoal filter.
    • If the grease filter needs cleaning, the LED indicator (7) blinks red regularly for 30 seconds.
    • If the charcoal filter needs replacement or cleaning, the LED indicator (7) blinks red twice per second for 30 seconds.
    • This function activates automatically after 40 hours of operation for the grease filter and 160 hours for the charcoal filter.
    • The fan does not operate during the alarm but resumes its last remembered setting after 30 seconds.
    • The function counter for the charcoal filter is disabled by default.
    • To activate/deactivate the charcoal filter counter: Pull out the hood drawer, ensure the fan is off, and press the "Filter alarm function" button (7) for 3 seconds. Two white LEDs flashing for 3 seconds indicate activation; one white LED flashing for 3 seconds indicates deactivation.
    • To reset the function counter: Pull out the hood drawer and press the "Filter alarm function" button (7) for 3 seconds (for grease filter) or the "Minus" button (6) for 3 seconds (for charcoal filter). The indicator blinks once for a correct reset.

Maintenance Features:

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and safety.

  • Cleaning agents: Do not use abrasive detergents or brushes. Clean surfaces with a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent. After cooking, allow hot parts to cool before wiping to prevent stains.
  • Keeping the hood clean: Clean the appliance and grease filters monthly. Carefully remove fat from the interior and filters, as accumulation can cause fire.
  • Cleaning the grease filter:
    • Filters are attached with clips and pins.
    • To remove: Press the handle of the mounting clip on the filter panel, slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards, and pull it out. Repeat for all filters.
    • Clean filters with a sponge and non-abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher (low temperature, short cycle). Discoloration may occur but does not affect performance.
    • To remount: Follow the removal steps in reverse order.
  • Replacing the charcoal filter (optional):
    • Charcoal filters are NOT washable.
    • To replace: Remove the grease filters. Pull the tabs towards the bottom of the charcoal filter, slightly tilt the front downwards, and pull it out.
    • Install a new filter by following the steps in reverse.
    • Filters must be replaced at least every four months.
  • Replacing the lamp: The appliance uses an LED lamp and a separate LED driver. These parts can only be replaced by a qualified technician. Refer to the "Safety Instructions" chapter for service in case of malfunction.

Environmental Concerns:

  • Recycle materials marked with the symbol. Place packaging in appropriate recycling containers.
  • Help protect the environment and human health by recycling waste electrical and electronic appliances.
  • Do not dispose of appliances marked with the symbol with household waste. Return the product to a local recycling facility or contact your municipal office.
