  If the hard drive is not detected by your Digimerge DVR system, remove the housing and check that the hard drive cables are firmly connected. Additionally, the hard drive may need to be initialized (formatted) by the system. To do this, go to the Main Menu, select System Disk Format, choose Internal, and click Start. Note that formatting will erase all video data on the hard drive.

  If the image on your Digimerge DVR appears but there's no sound, first check the AUDIO connections to the DVR to ensure they are secure. Also, verify that the audio channel is set to ON in the system menu under Main Menu Record. Keep in mind that audio is only available for channel 1, so connect the audio-capable camera to channel 1 to avoid confusion.
