Main Unit Operation:
The head unit features several physical controls in addition to its touch screen:

- Calendar & Clock Setup: Access by touching the calendar icon.
- Radio Operation: Initiated by touching the "Radio" icon (requires antenna connection).
- Mobile Phone Mirror Linking (P-Link): Starts the mirror linking function (requires mobile phone connection).
- USB Input Operation: Activated when a USB device is inserted and the "USB" icon is touched.
- SD Card Input Operation: Activated when a Micro SD card is inserted and the "SD" icon is touched.
- Bluetooth Operation: Starts Bluetooth functions when a mobile phone is paired and the "Bluetooth" icon is touched.
- Auxiliary Input Operation: Initiated when an auxiliary device is inserted and the "AV in" icon is touched.
- Screen Brightness/Off: Repeatedly touching a specific icon cycles through brightness modes or turns off the screen. Touching any part of the screen turns it back on.
- Front Camera Viewing: Activated by touching the "F-CAM" icon (requires front camera connection).
- Wallpaper Selection: Repeatedly touching an icon allows selection of desired background wallpaper.
- System Setup Menu: Activates the "Setup" menu for various unit settings.
- Equalization Mode: Selects desired preset equalization modes.
- Steering Wheel Control Settings: Configures steering wheel controls.
On-Screen Setup Operation:
The "Setting Menu" provides detailed configuration options:
- System Setup Menu: General system settings.
- Language Interface: Selects the desired system language.
- Audio Setup Menu: Configures various audio settings.
- Visual Setup Menu: Adjusts brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness.
- Calendar & Clock Setup Menu: Sets calendar and clock.
- Bluetooth Setup Menu: Configures Bluetooth settings.
- Phone Link Setup Menu: Settings related to phone linking.
- SWC Setup Menu: Steering wheel control settings.
- Reset Setup: Resets the unit to ex-factory default stage.

Radio Operation:
- FM/AM Selection: Switches between FM and AM bands.
- Auto Search & Save: Automatically searches and saves stations.

- Stereo/Mono Mode: Selects stereo or mono reception for FM band.
- Preset Stations: Stores and recalls desired preset stations.
Bluetooth Operation:
- Pairing: Connects to mobile phones by searching for "CAR BT" and entering a password (0000 or 8888).
- BT Main Menu: Accesses phone dialing, phonebook, call logs, and music playback.
Apple CarPlay / Android Auto:
- Connection: Connects via USB port using an appropriate cable.
- Activation: Select the "P-Link" icon from the HOME screen.
- Requirements:
- Apple CarPlay: iPhone with iOS 7.1 or later (iPhone 5 or later).
- Android Auto: Android phone with Android 5.0 or higher, requires Android Auto app from Google Play.
- GPS: Utilizes the smartphone's GPS, so the phone should be placed where it can receive a GPS signal.
Reversing Camera Connection:
- Automatic Display: Connects to an optional reversing camera (QC3530 or QC3532 recommended) to automatically display video when reverse gear is selected.
- Wiring: Camera is powered by the reverse light (12VDC). A video extension cable sends video to the head unit. A red "Reverse Switch" wire sends a +12VDC signal to trigger the reverse camera video.
- Handbrake Connection: The U13 wire must be connected to ground via the handbrake to enable video playback from USB sticks.
Second Camera Connection (Front Camera):
- Manual Display: Connects to the "F-Cam" socket. Video is manually displayed by pressing the "F-Cam" icon on the head unit screen.
- Wiring: Does not require the "Reverse Switch" red wire. Connect the camera's red power wire to +12VDC, black power wire to -12VDC, and the yellow video plug to the F-CAM socket.
Maintenance Features
- Installation: Installation by a professional technician is highly recommended. Only use supplied screws. Mounting brackets and screws are typically supplied with the car, not the head unit.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as no power, no sound, no picture, unit hang-up, non-responsive buttons/screen, poor radio reception, remote handset malfunction, and Bluetooth not operating.
- Reset Function: The RES/RST button allows users to reset the unit to its factory default settings, which can resolve many operational issues.
- Fuse Replacement: If there is no power, check and replace the fuse with the proper value if blown.
- Antenna Check: For poor radio reception, ensure the antenna is properly inserted, connected, fully extended, and grounded.
- Remote Handset: If the remote doesn't work, replace the battery, point it directly at the sensor, and ensure the sensor surface is clean.
- Self-Repair Warning: Users are advised not to disassemble the unit themselves and to consult a service dealer if issues persist after troubleshooting.
- Temperature Management: Avoid operating in extreme temperatures and ensure vents/radiator panels are not blocked to prevent heat build-up and potential damage.
