WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
This Warranty does not cover: use of the product in a commercial operation (such as maid,
janitorial and equipment rental services), brushroll, belt, bags, filters, improper maintenance of
the product, damage due to misuse, acts of God, nature, vandalism or other acts beyond the
control of Royal Appliance Mfg. Co. (âRoyalâ, âweâ), ownerâs acts or omissions, use outside the
country in which the product was initially purchased and resales of the product by the original
owner. This warranty does not cover pick up, delivery, transportation or house calls. This
warranty does not apply to products purchased outside the United States, including its
territories and possessions, outside a U.S. Military Exchange and outside of Canada. This
warranty does not cover products purchased from a party that is not an authorized retailer,
dealer, or distributor of Royal products.

This Warranty is not transferable and may not be assigned. This Warranty shall be governed and
construed under the laws of the state of Ohio. The Warranty Period will not be extended by
any replacement or repair performed under this Warranty. THIS WARRANTY IS THE
EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND REMEDY PROVIDED BY ROYAL. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES,
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT WILL ROYAL BE LIABLE FOR

dirt cup & separate the foam
ïŹlter from the ïŹlter housing.
Tap ïŹlter over a trash can to
remove debris. Be sure to
also wipe debris from the
ïŹlter housing.
2. Remove the dirt cup to
access ïŹlter.
4. Put the ïŹlter back into the
ïŹlter housing and place
ïŹlter assembly back into the
dirt cup. Reassemble dirt
cup to body, align bottom
ïŹrst and rotate up until it
clicks.
NOTE: Filter is rinseable with water. Do not use soap/detergent. Let filter air dry for 24 hours or until
completely dry.
LUBRICATION The motor is equipped with bearings which contains sufficient lubrication for its lifetime.
The addition of lubricant could cause damage. Do not add lubricant to motor.

TIP: To maintain performance, filter should be changed every 3-6 months, or as needed.

âą Do not incinerate the charger, battery, or appliance even if it is severely damaged. The
batteries can explode in a fire.

âą Do not dispose of battery in a fire or trash compactor. See battery disposal section for

âą Do not attempt to disassemble battery.
âą Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
âą Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If any liquid gets on the
skin wash quickly with soap and water. If any liquid gets into the eyes, immediately flush
them with clean water continuously for a minimum of 15 minutes. Seek medical attention
immediately.
âą Use only the charger specified to recharge.
âą Do not attempt to short circuit the battery or charger terminals.
âą The charger is for indoor use only. Be sure to always keep the battery and charger in a
dry place.

The battery must be collected, recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound
manner. The EPA certiïŹed RBRC Battery Recycling Seal on the lithium-ion (Li-ion)
battery indicated Techtronic Industries, a corporate afïŹliate of Dirt Devil., is voluntarily
participating in an industry program to collect and recycle these batteries at the end of
their useful life, when taken out of service in the United States or Canada. The RBRC
program provides a convenient alternative to placing used Li-ion batteries into the trash
or the municipal waste stream, which may be illegal in your area. Please visit www.
rbrc.org/call2recycle/ for information on Li-ion battery recycling and disposal bans/
restrictions in your area. Dirt Devil, involvement in this program is part of our commitment
to preserving our environment and conserving our natural resources.
