Procedures
Engine Compartment
Check engine compartment (shown) for debris
every 10 hours and after long-term storage.
Manually clean out debris as needed.
Filter, Air
Check before startup and every 10 hours. Change as needed.
Check
Check air filter service indicator (3). Change filter
when red band on indicator is visible.
Change
4. Remove cover (5).
5. Remove primary element (1) and secondary
element (2).
6. Wipe inside of housing and wash cover.
7. Insert new secondary element and ensure it
is seated correctly.
8. Insert new primary element.
9. Replace cover with dust ejector (4) facing down.
10. Reset air filter service indicator.
NOTICE:
• Check more often is operating in large
brush, grassy conditions, or if machine is
being stored.
• Do not use water or compressed air to
remove debris.
NOTICE:
• Only open air filter housing when air filter canister when air restriction is indicated.
• Change the elements. Do not attempt to clean them.
• Compressed air or water can damage filter elements.
• Tapping to loosen dirt can damage elements.
