  To fix a DLA Engine that's flooded with fuel: 1. Turn the kill switch to the OFF position. 2. Remove the sparkplug. 3. Blow out and dry the plug electrodes. 4. Turn the engine so the cylinder head points down to drain the fuel. 5. Rotate the propeller around several times. 6. Replace the sparkplug and restart the engine.

  If your DLA engine starts after being choked but stops soon after, the low mixture valve may be too lean. To correct this, richen the mixture by turning the valve counter-clockwise. Adjust the Low End Mixture needle valve to achieve a smooth idle and a reliable transition to high throttle. If the engine stutters or coughs in the mid-range during low to high transition or when the throttle is advanced, the Low End needle, and possibly the High End Needle valve, is too lean.
