# The red battery charge warning
lamp lights up while the engine is
running.
WARNING G
The battery is not being charged. Possible
causes:
malfunctioning alternator
torn poly-V-belt
Stop immediately and check the poly-
V-belt.
If it is torn:
Do not drive any further. Consult
the nearest authorized Sprinter
Dealer.
If it is not damaged:
Have your vehicle checked at an
authorized Sprinter Dealer.
The battery is malfunctioning. Stop your vehicle as soon as it is safe
to do so.
Do not drive any further.
Contact a breakdown service, an au-
thorized Sprinter Dealer.
2 The yellow brake pad wear indica-
tor lamp lights up after the engine
is started or while the vehicle is in
motion.
WARNING G
The brake pads/linings have reached their
wear limit.
Have the brake pads/linings replaced
as soon as possible at an authorized
Sprinter Dealer.
