3 Retainer
Loosen the bolts of retainer 3 pre-
venting the battery from moving
around.
Pull retainer 3 upward and slide the
battery out of its anchorage in the di-
rection of travel.
Fold the clip upward and remove the
battery from the battery recess.
Auxiliary battery* in the engine com-
partment
Disconnect the battery ( page 337).
Unscrew the bolts preventing the bat-
tery from moving around in the engine
compartment.
Remove the battery retainer and take
out the battery.
