Stopping
• With the vehicle stopped, place the shift lever in NEUTRAL.
• Push the ENGINE ST ART/STOP button once. The ignition switch will return to the OFF
position.
• If the vehicle speed is above 5 mph (8 km/h), the ENGINE START/STOP button must be
held for two seconds before the engine will shut off. The ignition switch position will
remain in the ACC position until the vehicle is stopped and the button is pressed twice
to the OFF position.
NOTE:
If the ignition switch is left in the ACC position, the system will automatically time out
after 60 minutes of inactivity and the ignition will switch to the OFF position.
Additional Functions
NOTE:
The following functions are with the driver’s foot OFF the Brake Pedal/Clutch Pedal
(Transmission in P ARK or NEUTRAL Position).
Starting With The Ignition Switch In The OFF Position:
• Push the ENGINE STAR T/STOP button once to change the ignition switch to the ACC
position.
• Push the ENGINE ST AR T/STOP button a second time to change the ignition switch to
the RUN position.
• Push the ENGINE ST ART/STOP button a third time to return the ignition switch to the
OFF position.
NOTE:
In case the ignition switch does not change
with the push of a button, the key fob may
have a low or dead battery. In this situation,
a back up method can be used to operate
the ignition switch. Put the nose side of the
key fob (side opposite of the Emergency
Key) against the ENGINE ST ART/STOP
button and push to operate the ignition
switch.
