SERVICE PROCEDURES
COWL TOP PANEL SEAL
The cowl top panel seal (Fig. 1) is fastened to the
panel by retainers moulded into the seal.

TRIM PANEL
The side cowl trim panel (Fig. 2) is attached to the
panel with screws and at the rear lower edge under
the floor sill step plate. A silencer pad is used be-
tween the trim panel and cowl panel.
Build-Up
and Installation
(1) Apply cement to trim panel and position in¯
sulation on cemented area. Hand press to assure posi-
tive adhesion and position spring nut on panel.
(2) Position cowl side trim panel extension under
windshield garnish moulding and install screw.
(3) Position trim panel under clip at upper front
and to cowl side inner panel. Install retaining screws.
(4) Install floor sill inner moulding over panel end
and install screws.
OUTSIDE AIR VENT CONTROL CABLE
Replacement
The outside air inlet vent control cable, housing and
knob is serviced as an assembly. The vent control
handle is mounted on column cover. To disengage the
vent handle from the column cover, pull vent handle
out slightly and guide shaft up through slot in cover.
