4.1Maintenance
Maintenanceshouldbedoneatleastonceayear.
Toensuregoodperformanceandsafetyyoushouldregularlycheck
thatthefollowingiscarriedout:
•Ensurethatscrewsandadjustmentsareproperlytightened.
•Neveruseadefectivewalkingaid.Donotattemptrepairs
yourself!
•Ifhandgripsareloosedonotusethewalkingaid.Changehand
gripsaccordingtotheserviceinstructionswhichcanbeobtained
fromyourInvacarerepresentative.
•Verifybrakeoperation.Ifbrakeadjustmentisrequired,see
chapter3Usage,page8
inthisusermanual.
•Periodicallyinspectthecastorstightness,wearanddamage.
•Makesurethatthewheelsarefreeofhair,lintandotherdebris.
4.2Care
Theproductcanbecleanedanddisinfectedusingcommercially
availableagents.
Cleaning
IMPORTANT!
–Donotuseanabrasivedetergent,cleanerorclothto
cleanordrytheproduct.
–Donotusehighpressurecleanerorsteamcleaner.
•Cleanthewalkingaidwithsolvent-freehouseholdcleaner.
•Cleantheframewithdampclothandmilddetergent.
•Cleanthewheelswithabrush(nowirebrush!).
•Cleanthebackrest,seatandbasketwithmilddetergent.
Disinfection
Disinfecttheproductbywipingdownallgenerallyaccessiblesurfaces
withdisinfectant.
