2.1 General safety

WARNING!
z Before you start up the device for the first time, verify that
the
operating voltage
matches the line voltage (see type plate).
z Do not operate the device if it is visibly damaged.
z This device may only be repaired by
qualified personnel.
Improper repairs can
lead to considerable hazards.
Should your device need to be repaired, please contact cus-
tomer services.
z This device can be used by children aged 8 years
or over, as
well as by
persons with diminished
physical, sensory or mental
capacities
or a lack of experience and/or kn
owledge, providing
th
ey are supervised or have been taught how to use
the device
safely
and are aware of the resulting risks.
z Electrical devices are not toys.
Always keep the device out of the reach of children.
z Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the device.
z Keep the keys out of the reach of children.
z If this device's power cord is damaged, it
must be replaced by
the manufacturer, customer service
or a similarly
qualified
person in order to prevent safety
hazards.
z Do not store any explosive substances, such as spray cans with
propellants in the device.

z Disconnect the device from the power supply
– before cleaning and maintenance
– if you don‘t use it for a longer period
z The appliance should be moved and set up by at l
east two
people. Otherwise this
could lead to back or other injuries.
z Do not place the device in direct sunlight or
near any heat
producing appliances (heating, stoves).
