to the refrigerator, depending upon which energy source is used. Remove the ice-trays and
empty the refrigerator of food. Leave the cabinet lid open. The
ice
will melt and drop into the
interior.
When defrosting is completed, wipe the
ice-tray
support and the interior, dry carefully
with a clean doth.
NOTE:
Do not attempt to defrost more quickly by means of any form of heat, otherwise the plastic
surfaces may be damaged.
9. Cleaning:
Clean
the
refrigerator thoroughly, as necessary, partic
ularly when it is not going to be used for
any length of fme.
First defrost the cabinet as described in the previous item, then dean the
cabinet
interior and
lid with a clean cloth wrung out in warm water to which mild, unscented washing-up liquid has
been added. wipe over with a clean doth and
dry
thoroughly.
Do not place any plastic parts in water that is more than hand hot and do not expose them to
dry heat
The outside of the cabinet should be wiped
with
a dean, damp cloth and polished with a dean
soft duster.
NEVER USE STRONG CHEMICALS OR ABRASIVE
CLEANING MATERIALS ON ANY
PART OF THE REFRIGERATOR.

What to do when the refrigerator is not
going
to be used for a long time?
If you are not going
to use your refrigerator for sometime, turn off
the power supply (gas
or
electric) and empty the box of its contents. Defrost refrigerator and carefully dean and dry
interior. To prevent any unwanted odour from forming in the interior, it is advisable to leave the
lid slightly open,
so
that fresh air can circulate inside.
The ice-tray should be emptied, dried and replaced on the ice-tray support in the
cabinet.
Points to remember!
l
lf
the
refrigerat
or has teen out of use for a length of time, check connections for gas leaks
using soapy water

Never
cover
the air vents with cardboard or anything else.
l
Remember to level the refrigerator otherwise the cooling unit
will
not perform and could be
permanently damaged.
l
If possible
pre-cool
the refrigerator some hours before putting
food
in it.
